I can hear Phil Spector music by Pink Floyd

I can hear music,
Phil Spector and Pink Floyd or How David Gilmour and Roger Waters sung four songs together.

OK so once upon a time Phil Spector wrote a song called to know him is to love him. This title was inspired from the phrase on Phil Spectors Dad ‘s headstone.

This song was recorded by the only group that Phil Spector was in called The Teddy Bears.
It was a big hit and the song is reconised as one of the best Phil Spectors songs.
The Beatles recorde d it and is only available  to buy on the CD called The Beatles at the BBC.
Linda Ronstad and Dolly Parton and Emmylou Harris recorded it as did Marc Bolan.

So many years later a group called Pink Floyd, yes the real Pink Floyd decided for a laugh to play To know him is to love him as a warm up song or in rehersals.

Move forward even more years to 12 July 2010 and the unthinkable has happened.
In Oxfordshire England a charity gig is held for the Hoping Foundation,

(HOPING stands for Hope and Optimism for Palestinians in the Next Generation. This generation will be the key to peace, and supporting Palestinian children is a real catalyst for change. Young Palestinian refugees need the simple chances and ordinary possibilities that can offer them creative solutions to their lives. Apart from other well know singers (Nick Cave, Tom Jones, Jamie Hince, Kate Moss, Susie Bick, ) and bands a certain Roger Waters is up on stage with David Gilmour and they play four songs. Wish you were here, Comfortably numb, Another Brick in the wall and, To know him is to love him. So whats the chances of Roger and David doing this? You are right, you are more like to win the UK lottery then see that happen
but it did.
Theres more, apparently Roger said to David” Eh Dave I am going to tour The Wall over 2 years across the US UK and Europe and the world do you fancy coming on tour with me”
Dave said “ No”,
Dam shame I say.

The unheard of happened.

UP DATE JULY 17th 2010.

The unbeliveable is going to happen again.
News is coming out that David Gilmour said to Roger Waters , ” Roger, if you play To know him is to love him at the charity gig Hope I will play on Comforatbly numb on one of the Wall gigs you are doing” Wow and he will be keeping his promise. But, and I say BUT which one will it be as Roger Waters is doing over 100 of The Wall gigs.
I bet it will be in the US. That narrows it down a bit!
