Richard Hawley was born a few months before the Summer of Love in 1967 in Sheffield which is in northern England.
He was almost guaranteed a successful musical career as most of his family were musicians including his father and mother. His father would provide backing for American acts like John Lee Hooker and his Mother was in a group with her sister who did the club circuit. Another member of the family , Frank, who was Richards uncle not only was he remembered for being an exccelnt guitar player but also years before Jimmy Page had a twin next guitar.

So Richards Hawleys future was almost guaranteed and with this family influence he grew rapidly in enjoying Rock and Roll and Country which you can often hear in his music today.
